The World of the Clouds
Google Drive, Google Doc and Google Form.
Oh hi, you're here. Well my dear reader, after Week 4 killed me, Week 5 did the honors of burying me. There I was in my micro-phone casket, royal blue flowers to represent my favorite color and a crown on my head to tell how I took my death, like a queen. Casket sharp and ready to meet Jesus to tell Him of all the stress and struggles about to come in this week's class.
Week 5 is that you 👀👀👀? Oh I've been waiting here with my face and brain all taped up waiting to receive the struggles coming my way. Oh yes, sure! You can stress me. The tape should hold up my face long enough to endure what's left of my poor cranium.
Can't you tell I'm ready for the class to begin....😓😓😓😓😓
The enthusiasm is just waiting to burst the seems of my body to become free.
Despite the mood, I shall overcome the struggle ....BRING ON THE TASKS!
Tasks:
☝ Open gmail and access your google account.
☝ Open Google drive.
☝ Open a new browser and search for 'google form'.
☝Create a google form for a class on any topic chosen and create an answer key to the form.
☝ Share the google form with classmates via email to be completed.
☝ Complete or respond to a google form sent by a classmate.
☝ Share your google form and answer key with the lecturer.
The site of all the tasks to be completed dazzled my eyes. If school life wasn't hard before, it is now.
The second task was even better, by now I was a pro, opening up my google drive to access the necessary files saved there in my cloud world.
I was on a roll, nobody was strong enough to hold me. I felt like I was the creator of these things. My maneuver skills were point.👌👌👌👌👌👌
I then opened the chrome browser and typed in 'google form' and pop came the form and I was ready to go.
But HOLD UP! This is where week 5 buried me.
So I searched for google form and I found it..
My lecturer Mrs. Roberts guided the class on how to use the form. Then the struggle became real when we had to formulate at least five questions using the form. Not just one type of question but different types. For example, multiple choice, short answer and even paragraph type. At this point, I felt a little motivation to carry on but then when it came to actually formulating the questions in the form my brain felt like its was doing a work out.
I succeeded with perseverance and I even explored while using the form. I changes my theme to something more nice and I thought to myself, "Well this isn't so bad."
My work was shared to my classmates via email, requesting them to complete the form and submit the answered sheet back to me. The process went smoothly and google forms were exchanged and submitted back to one another.

This is where my boss skills stepped back in again. I then had to create an answer key for my google form in Google docs.
After creating the answer key the teacher requested that we share both the google form and the answer key with her via google drive to see how well we've completed the tasks.
Class wasn't as bad as week 4. I actually felt like resurrecting myself out of that casket because the struggle wasn't over dramatically real this time.
Challenges:
Even though this week's lesson wasn't so bad I still faced some challenges. Firstly, I found it a bit difficult to maneuver my way in creating the different questions types in google form. Secondly, I had a challenge of inserting an image and adjusting it to the appropriate size to fit the form. Lastly, It was a bit challenging to formulate some of the question and the options for the multiple choice.
What I've learnt:
Reader let me tell you; before this class madam moi did not know anything about google form and creating one as an evaluating tool in the classroom. Just before that storm Mrs. Roberts sent us the same google form to complete and submit assignments that will cover the days we will miss during the storm. I wondered how she got such a cool way of sending us work but then this class clarified it all for me. I will definitely use google form as an evaluating tool for my students and a means of them completing assignments that eliminate the bulk of papers that will pile up my desk at work.
Cool form Mrs. Roberts, thank you for introducing us.
Stay tuned. More blogs coming soon!!!!!!!!
