Week #7 - Power Point

The Enhancer Tool - Power Point

Hello reader is that you?  👀👀👀👀

Week #6 was good, just good. It came will a roll of challenges but I conquered.

This week was all about Power Point. Nothing new to me but no matter how much you do and know something there is always something new to learn.

Tasks:
👉 Open Power Point.
👉 Create or add slides.
👉 Select a theme for the power point.
👉 Add and edit texts in the power point.
👉 Add images, audio or a video.
👉 Apply transitions and effects to the power point.

The class first started with presentions from different groups on a topic that was given the previous class. We had to actually create either a mindap, prezi or wordle using certain apps or programs.

My group did an amazing job on creating not only a electronic mind map but an actual physical mind map using our bodies.

Other groups presented as well on their topics and we had a very good learning and fun time.

Class continued with Mrs. Roberts introducing the topic of power point. Students were chosen randomly using the class register to complete a task in the creation of a power point.

First we opened power point and added about 6-7 additional slides.

The next set of individuals were called up to complete another set of task.
Together we selected a theme  format a background and titled the first page of the power point.

Another classmate was selected again to complete another task with the help of the class. This tasks was to add more text to the slide, add an image and transitional effects.

As the class continued we added videos and shapes or images to hide a text on a slide until we were ready for it to be seen.

Shapes used to hide words

On the last slide of course we had to reference our work to avoid plagarism.

*Challenges:
Oh glory, it was a happy class. Challenges? What is that? Well except for one thing. I wasn't able to add videos to my power point due to the fact that my device is cheap and such features were not available in the power point app. But overall most of what was being done I could have done it.

*What I've learnt?
Although the lesson for today was nothing new to me, I actually learnt something new and that is, how to format the background of a slide and how to add shapes or pictures to block a word until you are ready to reveal it. Power point has always been a tool I used in the classroom to enhance and cater for all learners.
