Using Assure Model and Bloom's Taxonomy in Lesson Planning.
Well readers we are now in week #4 of EDET class. Class started with a BANG๐ and then quickly turned to a BOOM๐ฃ! It was a definite twist with the slap of lesson planning reality. I questioned myself numerous times on whether or not I was doing my lesson planning the correct way before but as the class continued I was only like 90% incorrect in writing my lesson plans. But that's fine, right? We are all here to learn.

For homework we had a questionnaire to complete to find out the type of learners we are. For me, I'm an Aural Learner;meaning a person who learns through listening.

BLOOM'S TAXONOMY
Bloom's Taxonomy provides an important framework for teachers to use to focus on higher order thinking.
Example of my objective using Bloom's Taxonomy:
At the end of the lesson students will be able to construct with the notes given from the previous lesson on the types of housing, a model of a duplex house with no less than two bedrooms.
A- Audience B- Behavior C-Condition D- Degree
Let's Learn more about the ASSURE Model
๐A- Analyze the audience.
๐S- State the objectives including different strategies.
๐S- Select related methods, media and materials.
๐U- Utilize related media and materials.
๐R- Require the learners participation.
๐E- Evaluate and Revise.
I completed a lesson plan of my own and it was a headache to include so much details of a lesson but with much practice it will come with ease to complete.
Challenges:
This lesson was one of the hardest lesson I've been through in EDET class. It was so much to learn in just a small time frame. I felt like my head exploded...
As we established before, this was no where close to the way in which I planned my lessons before. I was wayyyyyyyyy out the park, not necessarily a 'home run' but a 'home none'. It never occurred to me to included so many aspects in my lesson plan. It is difficult and I still feel a little lost but with practice I will get it right, by the end my teaching training I will be the boss in lesson planning.
This weeks lesson have taught me how to write my objectives correctly using the bloom's taxonomy method and also including the ASSURE model. With the application on bloom's taxonomy added to my objectives, they will become more specific and cater for the needs of my students.
