Editing for a unique look.
Readers it's the final week of EDET class and I'm excited not only because it's ending but for the wonderful journey I've enjoyed along the way and all the new ideas and things I've learnt.
This week's class was all about word processing. Have you ever wonder how people got there word documents to look so marvelous and different from the regular lame normal way? Well, let me take you on this last journey of what could be a life charging experience.
Fly in the task!!!!!!!!!!
Tasks:
✨ Creating a document.
✨ Insert page numbers; numbering the pages differently.
✨ Inserting page background: adding page color, watermark and boarders.
✨ Working with Word Art.
✨ Working page orientation.
✨ Saving and retrieving documents.
Step into my car lets go for a joy ride....
First I had to create a document. Now the document I used was the ASSURE Model lesson plan to give it a little 'spaz'.
I decided to change up the flow of the task a bit to my liking and proceeded into adding word Art first, then formatting the page background by giving it a beautiful color and watermark along with a boarder; all of which can be found in 'Page Layout' on the tool bar in Microsoft word.

I then took on the task in numbering the pages differently. What you had to do was to create or add a page break after each page so that the page can be numbered differently. Never in my life I thought that such thing was possible until the lecturer demonstrated it to the class. I have always seen it but never took the time to try it.
It was time to try out another task. The teacher demonstrated how to actually make one page in your document orientation instead of the regular portrait page. I thought to myself is that even possible? But the teacher proved my curiosity right. It was indeed possible. Who would have thought huh? I followed keenly and tried it for myself and 'ta da da da' it was a success.
After all was done it was time to save the fancy document. I was proud of myself for I have reached the end. I clicked on the File tab and select 'save as'. I gave my document a name and after which it was saved. I went back into documents which can be found by pressing the start icon/button on the desktop and checked to see if I could have retrieved the document. It was there waiting for me to open it and view my lovely work of art.
Challenges:
Well reader this week I faced only 2 challenges but I conquered both. First, It was difficult to 'page break' the pages and number them differently. I tried over and over again until it was done correctly. Secondly, I uploaded my processed document to google drive to create a link so that my readers can view the processed document and for some reason when the file is being uploaded in google drive all the fancy features were no longer, they disappeared. I came to the conclusion that google drive probably don't have such features and so I print screen the document as another option to include it in my blog.
What have I learnt?
For this week I learned 2 new things. How to number pages differently and how to make a selected page in a document layout orientation. I have always process documents to my liking but the added information learnt and extra tricks will definitely help to enhance my documents more.
It's been a pleasure my love. I will miss you and telling you all about my struggles and success stories but we will meet again my dear reader but for now; peace and may the force be with you.
It's been nice having you!!!!!!!!!!!!
